We made QuickView because we do a lot of graphics authoring, and don't want to wait the extra time for a graphics program to load. What QuickView does is adds a small window to your screen, and allows you to get a quick preview of the image file (PICT,GIFf,JPEG) that is currently selected in the Finder. So if you were to select an image file in the Finder, and then press Preview, a thumbnail of that image will be made right in that window. Version 1.1 adds a new feature. Now you can drag the image (if it is not scaled). so you can see the whole image.
QuickView also has a scale feature, which allows you to scale the image you are previewing to the size of the QuickView display, or just preview the corner of the image.
QuickView uses AppleScript to get the currently selected file, so if you don't have AppleScript, and a scriptable Finder (OS 7.5 or later), then we suggest you get it now.
To use QuickView, just drop it in your extensions folder, and restart.
